I am moving to Fort Worth and looking at jobs. I am an RN with 6 years ER experience. Can anyone tell me what the Fort Worth ERs are like? Which are good to work at, and which should be avoided? Thanks in advance!

I've never worked in anyone's ER before, but I can provide you with a list of the different hospitals with busy ERs in Fort Worth.

1. Baylor All Saints (downtown campus)

2. Baylor All Saints (southwest campus)

3. Harris Methodist (downtown campus)

4. Harris Methodist (southwest campus)

5. Plaza Medical Center

6. Huguley Memorial

7. JPS (John Peter Smith - this is the county hospital)

Specializes in MICU, SICU, Pedi, PACU, ER, Corrections.

Having graduated from a local nursing school for both LVN and RN, I have done clinicals in every facility in FTW/Parker Co and worked at JPS (ER for 3 yr). If you love fast paced, excitement, trauma... JPS is your place. Harris/Plaza/Baylor/Huguley seem a little tame in comparison. And of course, for pedi experience, Cook Childrens. Good Luck!:nurse:
