Forsyth Tech ADN Fall 2018

Published

Just wanted to post a topic for all of anyone applying this Spring for the Fall 2018 nursing program at Forsyth Tech. I haven't done my MAR review yet, I'm planning to do that as soon as this semester begins. I just wanted to see who was applying and where you guys stood.

I just got a cna job that's full time 7a-7p but I'm a pharmacy tech right now and I was probably going to have to let one job go I just didn't know anyone stake on it. But considering your going to keep both of your jobs I may just have to give it a try and see

I work now at Forsyth 7p-7a and still do hair but I'm cutting the salon down when nursing school starts

I'm leaving one job before school starts. After we start I will only be working every other weekend. Maybe you could test things out and if working full time and school becomes too much for you then you will know what to do. I personally know that I can't go to school full time and work full time and still be a wife and mother lol

I understand. I don't have any children but I do have to work because I support myself so I think I'd only be able to do one or the other because the hospital job is from 7a-7p. Thank you for the input

No problem. Everything will work out in your favor. Congratulations on getting the job!

I work as a CNA privately, I still live with my parents so I'm going to just give up my patients and focus on school.

Hello teannaanthony,

I hope all is going well with Nursing school! I am applying for the Spring 2019 program. I was wondering if you could tell me what nursing text book your class is using?

Nursing fundamentals kozier and erb

Thank you so much! Which edition?

45 mins ain't that bad, I drive 1 hour and 15mins one way, but really the drive does get old... FAST!!!

Hey CMLindsey! Im applying to the spring 2020 program and live quite a distance away (I stay in Reidsville) but Ive heard so many great things about this program. How was the commute for you?? Was weather ever an issue? And also are classes normally 3 or 4 times a week?

Specializes in Addictive Disease.

Currently in 5th semester, honestly the commute does get old but I’m coming from the opposite direction Hickory/Morganton area. Luckily weather hasn’t really been to much of an issue. Typically you’ll be in Winston at least 3 days a week if not more. That’s with clinicals and any out rotation you can have. I recommend the program it’s really good.
