Forsyth ADN Fall 2014

Published

Hey guys! I just thought I'd make a thread relevant to those individuals applying for the Fall 2014 Nursing program at Forsyth Technical Community College.

I'm definitely a bit apprehensive about getting in, and thought this may be a good way to communicate to my fellow (or previous) applicants.

My current points (subject to change since I am retaking the TEAS exam 2-19) are 159. From my understanding of the points and the statistical data provided over the last 4 years, that's towards the low end of when they begin accepting individuals for the program!

What are your points? Have you guys applied before? Are you nervous? (I know I am!)

ehic31 I called today and was told that alternates should begin getting called next week! I am claiming MY SEAT! :-)

Did they say how many people did not accept yet??

I applied for the ADN program, so I was sent my acceptance letter for that program!

I'm tempted to call and ask what the delay is! She told me at my MAR review that I should hear something by the end of march!!

The problem when you call is they always say they haven't been mailed or will be the next week or whatever. .then people get their letter that day or the next. I feel like they have a response they are used to saying since they probably deal with the same questions a lot.

I went to the admissions office yesterday bc I had to go to the campus anyways. Going there was a waste if time. Lol I got no new information than what is on this website.

Well hopefully we will get them soon! I did find out when class and when clinical will be for NUR 214, which is the nursing transition class...

Is clinical weekends? When's the class?

That's what I was terrified of since I work weekends. Class is Monday from 1-3:50 and clinical which doesn't start til mid October is on Tuesdays from 2-7:50.

Oh that's not bad. I do remember reading somewhere clinical would be weekends? Not sure where...I also work weekends and prn during the week but they will just have to deal with a schedule change b/c this is my priority

I believe they had until 3/24/2014 to except by email. I could be wrong.....

Mbduplisea, have you heard anything?
