Check with St Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham, WA. They have a LOT of Canadian nurses working there. Probably cheaper to hire, less back end Human Resources costs, plus they get a nurse with experience.I have a question, and the information is for an article I am writing. For those of you currently working in hospitals, has there been any hiring of foreign nurses--Canadian included? If so, can you tell me which hospitals?I am trying to find this demographic info, and the Wash nurses association was of absolutely no help. They said to check area hospitals--but rather than call every hospital in the state, I thought I'd first ask and see if anyone has noticed hiring of foreign nurses--in the past few years.
Thanks for all of your help!
Washington Board of Nursing should have the figures that you need. And you need to keep in mind that a Canadian nurse is counted differently with many of the counts as to "foreign nurses" as they are under a NAFTA visa which is under different rulings.
:balloons: :balloons: hope that this helps................
