any foreign nurses that live in Ireland???

I need a little advice,if anyone can help.please,if any foreign nurses working in Ireland as registered nurses,reply and hopefully i ll be able to explain my case and your experience would really help!

i m a qualified nurse and i ve been having a lot of difficulties with registering in Ireland,,almost 4 yrs now,have a feeling i m not getting anywhere,after all the hassle,collecting the documents and the office keeps losing them all.The last thing i was told was my theory and clinical hours are not enough,despite 4 yrs college plus one year of internship.Please,anyone,if you have any experience and if anything similar happened to you?is it possible for me to do a medical or nursing course to make up for those hours.help!thanx everyone!

They should indicate what hours are missing and what is required to satisfy them. Have they told you what you are short on?

they only said my clinical hours and theoretical hours r not enough.the problem is they never give any explanation,as maybe they don t wanna be bothered or they just do not asses every application form which would be quite ignorant considering they re looking for nurses,even foreign ones.i am desperate cos i ve spent time and money to gather everything but they are just not being helpful.if you know anything about it,please,i d be grateful for any help.ld like to enrol a medical or nursing course if thats gonna help me with those missing hours.

Where did you do your training and what level?

Have you read the requirements and standards for Nurse registration education program? You may get an idea on what hours clinically and theory is required and see if you can get a copy of your transcripts to compare.

Otherwise I would ask them again in writing to provide something so you can upgrade and meet requirements.

the only problem is i keep asking for detailed reports and keep getting nothing...every time theres another change.i ll take ur advice and ask the office for something that could help,and hopefully get the same from my nursing college.Thanks a million!!!:)
