foreign nurse in us how long before i have to do a refresher course ?

i am an RN and am living here on h4 visa with my husband on H1B i would like toknow how long can i be out of work before i have to do a refresher course .I have my nclex ,cgfns and registered with state board .we arewaiting on a green card but this could take two to three years .also i would like to ask are there different types of green card or will i be able to work on this straight away or will it take more time to get adjustment of status and get ssn ect .It all feels so unknown .any advise greatly welcome .thank you .

green card is immigrant card and once issued you can start working straight away. In regards refresher course that will depend on state so better to ask them

Adding to this thread I forgot to say that the green card being issued is for my husband and he is getting it through his brother who is us citizen he has applied to have me and the children added to it will I still be able to work straight away

If your husband is getting it through family I believe he should already have completed documentation stating family members joining him. GC are usually then issued in the same time frame and once you have it issued you can start working
