Sorry, I mean a temp agency. I went on a job fair and I had an interview where they asked me a lot of questions. I do not recall if they asked me if I had any experience which I do have. It's an agency where they place me at outpatient facilities and I need to call every two weeks to find out if they have any assignments for me. I figured that it wouldn't hurt to try. I'm currently working with an Independent Contractor but it's not enough. I just want to know for those who are unemployed, if you have resorted to this when you couldn't find a job somewhere else. What is your opinion and what type of experience did you have?

Staffing agencies are similar to used car salesmen........

Why do you say that? Are they not to be trusted?

sometimes they can get you an ok gig but remember they get their paycheck from placing you as well. For example, you make $25/hr - the agency may be charging the facility $40/hr. this can lead to some unscrupulous practices.
