hey fellow humber students (if there are any!!)
i am taking the rpn program part-time right now and next week i start health assessment. we will be getting our lab kits on the first day of class and i'm so excited to find out what is included!! i already know there will be a stethoscope and iv tubing but what other little goodies will the kit include? i am so excited to use the labs. i have heard they are pretty high tech and state of the art! i would also love a little insight on what i can expect in nurs 161!!

gloves, gown, mask, dressing tray, abdomnal pad, injections, vials, scissors, catheter, stetho, iv tubing, and lots of other things which i don't remember.

really...awe shucks...my husband is going to be so dissapointed!! he was all ready to be my guinea pig!! lol!! seriously though...you gave me a great idea!! a little evil, devilish idea.... i am going to tease him and tell him inserting a cath in him is part of my homework!!! bahahahaha.......i can hardly wait to see his face!! i bet it will look like this...!!!!
Honestly, we were told about someone in the intake before mine, that managed to get the foley in but chicken out when it came time to remove it. Emerg. wasn't impressed when they showed up.
The males in my family all crossed their legs when I pulled mine out of the bag, even the dog whimpered. They are so easy to torture.
That's too funny!! Guys are sensitive when it comes to that part of their body!! Maybe the kits should have certain warnings, like 'do not try this at home'! I can't imagine someone volunteering to have a cath inserted...!?
Anyway...thanks for the laugh!
