Nursing Students SRNA

Specializes in cardiac ICU.

I am the example of a truly blessed student who was accepted into a CRNA program. Don't give up hope to those who may have a lower GPA. I got in with a 3.0, made up for that with a score in the 90th percentile on my MAT. As a teenager, I met my first CRNA in a nurse shadowing program through my high school. The moment I set foot in the OR and saw what the CRNA did, I knew without a doubt that was what I was meant to be. It has been a long road, and the journey has just begun (I am 31 yrs old now). I am so grateful to have been accepted and wanted to share with those who may not have that 4.0, to not give up. If you know that God made you to be a CRNA, He will see you through. Have faith and you will get in, in Jesus name!!! I mean that with all my heart. My best to all.

Thanks snookiepie! That is very encouraging. I've just recently started to get my apps together for school and am a bit nervous about my 3.1 undergrad gpa. The rest of my "package" looks pretty good..ie-ACLS, 4 years CICU, PALS, soon to be CCRN, BLS instructor, taking a grad course...but sometimes I get a little discouraged/nervous that its still not going to hack it because my undergrad gpa is subpar. So thanks for this post!

Anyways congrats on getting in!!

What school did you get accepted to?

Congrats snookiepie! Very awesome! I hope I am as lucky and get in somewhere, anywhere!

Specializes in ICU.

Very encouraging post. Thanks!

Snookie,

Congratulations!!! Just curious, I see that you are from Pa. Are you attending a school in Pa? I am also from Pa and am going through the application process now.

Yes ccusherry, I will be going to Nazareth in Philly. Are you in that vicinity?

I am from the south central area of Pa, approx 1 hour south of Harrisburg. I am mostly interested in because the local hospital is one of their clinical sites but am applying to 4 schools. I am encouraged by your post because my stats are similiar to yours.
