I have to complete a short paper for my anthropology course and was hoping to get help from some of my international colleagues, if anyone has a few moments to spare.
I would like to learn about traditions from non-American cultures regarding meals or rites of passage such as birthdays, funerals, or weddings. Basically, one of my requirements for my paper is to have quotations from members of another culture regarding such traditions, and this is where I am in need of help! I had been planning on speaking with one of the nurses I work with, but we have been too busy at work to be able to do so. Any help, even if it's just a few sentences, would be greatly appreciated.

There are some very wonderful books directly on this topic and they came out of the University of California at San Francisco and they have quotes in them as well. I would start with those.
