For those that have already had Chemistry

HELP! LOL

At our school college algebra is required before chemistry (for obvious reasons). I took Algebra in my 'former' college career 15 years ago and did pretty well (B). So, I don't HAVE to take algebra since I already have the credit but I'm sure I forgot as much as I knew back then. Do you think I will be able to use the formulas with little trouble? I got Algebra for dummies and even though it is really basic, I am remembering the concepts. I can't decide how stressed I should be over this. I will definitely be getting a tutor....

Any insights?

I found basic chemistry impossible because of all the math. Being an older non traditional student I didn't even know how to use the calculator other than it's basic functions  I did not find that algebra really helped, it was the conversions that got me. I would focus more on that than algebra.

Hope it goes well. Organic is much much easier :smokin:

I took college algebra 10 years ago, forgot every last little bit, and did fine in Intro to Chem last fall. You will have to do lots of conversions, and moles, also you will have to know metrics.....This math is very different from your traditional algebra class. It's like learning a brand new math language. You can do it!!! I did well!
