Hello all,
I just found this website/forum and think it's great!! I'm a recent graduate FNP, and have started my job search. I've sent out a few resumes, but started thinking about the interviews.
So my question for everyone is, how are the interviews for nurse practitioners? Are they similar to other job interviews or RN interviews at hospitals, or are there specifics?? Will they ask diagnosing questions, I guess is my primary concern. I just had flashbacks to my exit oral exam outta grad school...yikes!!!
Thanks for ANY help or insight anyone may have.

hello, cfnp and welcome to allnurses.com and the nurse practitioner forum
very good to have you join us. i wasn't asked any specifics about patient care during my initial interview. later on as i was experienced this question/s came into play. i was asked my weaknesses and strengths. also, how i plan to increase their "numbers" overall. how many pts. could i see in a day? ..........
i'm sure others will come along and add to this. i cannot remember other specifics. been a while since i've interviewed for a position.
enjoy the fourms and good luck with your career.
