Flunked out of WGU Rn to Bsn.

Just wondering if the Stats,Nutrition,Information Technology, and Humanities courses will transfer to some other school even though I did not complete the Degree program.

I failed the Biochem assessment 3 times and it was recommended I pursue the degree elsewhere,so this is why I am asking.

i more then likely will attend the Rn to Bsn program at a brick and motor school,as i learned that i need structure.

Specializes in ICU + 25 years as Nursing Faculty.

I note that you are from Texas. Many of the graduates from the ADN program where I teach are attending the Texas Tech online RN->BSN program and give it rave reviews.

Thank you featherz,RN,BSN.....so appreciate the feedback , I have 3 kiddos and work full time in a busy ER.... so asynchronous , no discussion boards is a plus and " self-paced" is what I need :) BTW, I'll take my time, not in a hurry, my employer will reimburse my tuition, plus I've got 3 years to complete my BSN. Oh , and WGU will give me a 10% Tuition discount because I'm employed by a HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) hospital . I believe the CEO of HCA is a firm believer in WGU, and its success, and he has also been a speaker at some of the graduation ceremonies :) so happy :) :)

Texas Tech is a great school too ! I know other nurses that have completed the program, it's half and half when it comes to their opinions about Texas Tech's program. I need a program , that has is " more self paced" like WGU. Plus WGU, was very generous in accepting my previous coursework for my ADN, and don't have to take extra US history classes or other non-nursing electives. I may take pathophysiology though , maybe at my local cc . My work schedule is not the best at times, and I have a 13 month old baby, plus a 12 y/o son and 6 y/o daughter ..... so amazing that there are programs out there for everyone:)

I loved WGU until I got to biochemistry. I consider myself pretty smart but biochemistry is killing me. I am kind of happy to hear that I am not alone in this.
