fluid and electrolytes

HELPPPPP! today was the first day of my second semester and we are started with f&e. Over Christmas break I purchased the "made easy" book and really loved it. i thought i had a general understanding and would be slightly prepared for today. however, i feel so lost. Im a kinesthetic/tactile learner. So maybe videos would help? Does anyone have any suggestions.

Like many things, it is overwhelming at first, but you get better with practice.

My advice is to avoid relying on rote memorization ASAP. Work hard on the physiological "whys" of the concepts and you will have a better time.

Look at the simplenursing.com videos that are free on YouTube (some are free and posted by the author, others you must pay a fee on the website). Some of my classmates found the videos when I was in school and I found his way of explaining things very helpful. To this very day I still think of CO2 as "carbon di-acid" when thinking about ABGs and the effects of things such as hyperventilation (blowing off too much CO2 - too much acid- will lead to alkalosis, etc.)
