Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) - Fall 2022

Published

Hey y’all!! I’m taking prerequisites and I’m hoping to apply by May 2022 Lord willing. I noticed that the previous program started a post and figured why not get one started for the next class. I’ll update this post when I apply and if/when I get accepted.

OK perfect! That's the one I was going to go to.

It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t bad. I waited about 15-20 minutes after my appointment time.

@karliwithak_thanks! Also, thank you for creating the FB page. I requested to join. ?

You’re in!! :)))

For anyone that missed it last night: I started a private facebook group for our class! There’s a few questions to verify yourself as a part of this program process but if I recognize your name/user I’ll add you regardless.

here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3242429672698086/?ref=share_group_link

Also, on castle branch I got the results of my background check! I was able to review them today. Still waiting on the drug screen that I took yesterday and finger print appointment is set for Tuesday next week! :))

I’m sure everyone has seen the message from our nursing advisor! It definitely clears up a lot and super happy that we only got to pay $38 instead of $57 LOL.

well karlie let us know how long it takes for you to get your results!

Got my results within 28 hours! :))

Another question, don't we have a school form from FSW to present to the doctor or immunization center to tell them we need such and such vaccine? I don't have any records and I searched at myCB and the only thing I can print front page to fax finals documents.

yeah, there should be a student health form in your castle branch if you paid for the medical management tracker. the student health form has all the required vaccinations needed. on the form, it says if you don't have a record for the vaccines that you should've gotten when you were younger, they can perform antibody titers to confirm you have the antibodies for it (in replace of the vaccine). you can send the form to your doctor's office by fax or email, whichever they prefer, and they can go ahead and order the vaccines, tests, and titers needed ahead of time. that way when you come in for your physical they can review the records and note/sign them on the form.

I think with health form will be enough but is missing flu shot and in CB said between Sep-March that is flu season.

You can fill out the declination form for the flu shot and in the reason line say that it is not yet season, and most doctors or pharmacies won’t even be carrying them until then. I had gotten mine in December so I think I’m fine but I’m going to double check with my own physician.
