Hey y’all!! I’m taking prerequisites and I’m hoping to apply by May 2022 Lord willing. I noticed that the previous program started a post and figured why not get one started for the next class. I’ll update this post when I apply and if/when I get accepted.

Who have you guys been emailing for questions? Should I email the nursing department or is there someone specific you guys recommend?

Yeah I made an Amazon wishlist before we got the full acceptance cause I already knew we needed a stethoscope so I sent it out to my family and yeah I’ve got a rainbow one coming in ?

Anything that pertains to the clinical stuff you email your corresponding clinical instructor for your campus. On the checklist it says who is assigned to which campus. For everything else you could probably email the nursing advisor.

this castle branch website is god awful slow and so confusing! Also when I called LabCorp they said you can make an appointment online but you didn't need an appointment at all? What do you guys think? Should I just try my luck and show up there on Tuesday? LOL

I made my appointment online with labcorp at one of the locations that were approved for us when you search them. I know there’s appointment times for employment drug screen for next week starting Tuesday so you can make an appointment or just walk in. I waited more than 30+ minutes after my appointment time and I had to pee SO BAD so I was like why did I even bother making and appointment LOL.

Holly molly!! what a list for the vaccines. Does any of this is covered for insurance? Yikes!

I think my insurance covered the drug screen cause I didn’t have co-pay and then I’m getting most of the vaccines/titers with my physician and that’s like a $30 fee with my health insurance so I’m not sure! I know also Publix and Walgreens do vaccines and take health insurances as well. I got Covid vaccines and booster with them along with my flu shot that was free in December.

Also, if you have immunization records you can submit those in. My mom luckily saved all of mine since I’m from here in FL, and was able to put in 3 of them. My tetorifice is outdated and I still need to get the Hep B titer even tho I have all the vaccines for it.

did someone like stand in the bathroom and watch you?? this is so weird LOL I've never taken one of these before

I did it this morning and was my first too and no they don't watch you while you peeing in a cup. But if you carry a backpack, they will put away and lock it and you are able to get it back after test is done. Do not flush the toilet until they tell u.

Exactly this!! They make you lock your phone and bag away. They stand outside the door and you hand them the cup. Just like they said, don’t flush until they tell you too.

I will definitely let you guys know, as soon as I know! They gave me a piece of paper too confirming I did the test and where it will be sent to, etc. Chain of custody for urine sample!

So once we complete everything in CB will it just be automatic, like we don’t have to submit anything to our school or do extra steps? Just because I scheduled a fingerprint test on the 8th (earliest available) and I’m scared the system will take a long time to finalize it but hopefully not ?

I’m pretty sure that’s how it works since they’re affiliated with FSW. Everything gets sent to them through castle branch!
