Who is planning to enroll in the nursing program next doing spring or fall?

I'm planning to enroll in fall 2015. I'm currently doing my perquisites this summer and I plan to almost finished by next spring. The only class I will have pending will be A&P II which I hope to take over the next summer session.

So who is joining me? It's going to long year of waiting and I simply can not wait to get into nursing program.

I hope to apply into Lee but might consider Charlotte since technically it's closer to me.

Pre-Nursing ASN

Really?? Crap lol They could be applying to other locations too. I'm probably just making excuses though..lol I freak myself out thinking that there's no way that my score was high enough but then I think that it's not as bad as the Fall. I guess we won't really know until they call us.

In the past threads I seen that some people got into charlotte with 72. I think we will be fine. I'm just hoping that maybe she was exaggerating. She probably did like 5 that day. IDK. I'm impatient! I wish more people posted on here.

Haha me too! I figured they would take more than 24 since it's about the same size as the Lee campus. I saw the one post where someone said even someone with a 60 something got into Charlotte. I wanted to get my CPR certification and the other one we have to have as soon as possible but I don't want to until I know for sure that I got in.

Yeah, I looked it up and I seen it was $50. What do we have to do for the immunization/health report/TB screening? Do they give us a paper to take to the doctor?

I think they give us a sheet that we print out and take it in or they just give us a list and we have to go ask for it. I'm not too sure. I might have a lot of them already because I had to get quite a few when I was accepted into the Exercise Science program at FGCU. Before we could start classes we had to get like 10 different immunizations including the TB test and a few blood tests but I decided to back out last minute and apply for the Nursing program which is what I really want to do. I'm hoping I already have most of them and I can just show them my sheet. I also volunteered at Gulf Coast Hospital and had to have immunizations to start.

I still plan on getting my BLS license again. Mine expired in May and its The AHA one. Im not sure if I do renewal or start over since its expired. I also gotta find time for that.

I seen online they had an option for BLS for healthcare providers renewal so maybe you can just do that. It was the AHA one too.

Oh ok I see. I'm a little worried because when I was 10, I tested positive for tb. I was medicated and I had X-rays done which showed was inactive TB but that was 15 years ago. So I don't know what I am suppose to do now. I guess I'm going to have to get X-rays again because I can't get the shot. Hopefully this doesn't complicate the process if I do get in:(

You can't take the test again? I think you just have to get chest X-rays every so often but it shouldn't effect you getting into the program :)

No. If you get a positive result from a PPD test you cant. Thanks, that makes me feel better :)

Hmm, I didn't know that. Well that's what they told the volunteers for the hospital. If it came back positive, all you had to do was get a chest x-ray for a certain period of time to make sure everything is still okay :)

Sounds good. Thanks!!

No problem! Hopefully hear from you about a call next week! lol
