Who is planning to enroll in the nursing program next doing spring or fall?

I'm planning to enroll in fall 2015. I'm currently doing my perquisites this summer and I plan to almost finished by next spring. The only class I will have pending will be A&P II which I hope to take over the next summer session.

So who is joining me? It's going to long year of waiting and I simply can not wait to get into nursing program.

I hope to apply into Lee but might consider Charlotte since technically it's closer to me.

I'm really surprised at the lack of people posting on here. I feel like when I'm not applying these boards have so many people on them, but now that I'm actually applying no one is talking lol. The Fall 2014 board has so many posts!

Anyways, I thought that I would post all my application info so I could kind of see where I stand against everyone else or help people see what the application pool looks like. I applied for the Spring 2015 Entry Level program. I selected Lee as my first choice and Collier as my second. My GPA is a 3.23 and I have taken all the prereqs. I have all A's and B's (mainly B's haha). I got an 87% on the HESI. My total admissions score is a 75.

I definitely don't think I'm the best candidate, but if there's anything I've learned from reading these boards it really all depends on the application pool!

Good luck to everyone! :)

Hey, you never know! I ended up with 79 points thinking that it definitely wouldn't be enough but I could be totally overthinking it. I hope we both get in at Lee! I put Charlotte down as my second choice but I'm really hoping to stay here. If anyone hears anything about them calling people for admission, we should post on here to keep everyone updated! So we know when to expect a call. :)

Yeah, I wouldn't stress out about the admission score because we really don't know the application pool. On this board we all seem to be around the same. Also, judging by the lack of activity on here it seems way less competitive than the fall. I hope we both get in as well! I will definitely post as soon as I hear anything. It seems like the accepted applicants find out about 10-15 days later, so I'll be waiting by the phone and checking my e-mail like crazy the next 2 weeks!

Sounds perfect! I took the HESI my second time yesterday and I saw a lot of people that were there the first time I took it so maybe people don't have as high of a score as I'm thinking, other than a select few. Fingers crossed for both of us!

Yeah, that is a possibility. I feel like a lot of people apply, but they are missing prereqs, have low HESI scores, minimum GPAs, etc. So once they weed out those people, there's not a huge amount of qualified applicants. Plus, many people you see are applying for transitions, so factor them out as well. We also have the advantage of 48 seats available. And we both selected secondary campuses. I think we'll be fine! If not, there's always next semester. Fingers crossed!!

Let's hope so! I heard that seats were completely full today and tomorrow for the HESI. I'll be on here everyday until they call so I'll post when/if I get it :)

When I turned in my application, I was told Spring is the least competitive so I'm praying!!!

Haha! You did too good so you're an exception :)

Hi guys!

I wish everyone luck. I know we all are so anxious to get in. I mean it's 1:24 am and I'm looking up my chances of getting into the program. I took the hesi Sept 30 and scored 89.67. Missed the max by .5. However, I only have 7 of the 9 pre reqs done and my gpa is 3.71. I'm currently taking micro and a&p2. My total score is 84 but I'm applying to Charlotte as my first choice and Lee as my second. I'm also going in at entry level. I'm so nervous. Will other people with lower scores but all completed pre reqs get in before someone without all the completed classes? If I didn't make it into the Charlotte campus because of limited seating but there are some available in Lee, will someone with the same or lower sore get in before me because I didn't choose it as a first choice? I'm so nervous! Not too mention I can't stop beating myself up about half a point. An 89 sounds so much better than a 84!

An 84 is good and an 89 is better, but hopefully they will look at your GPA first :)
