Operating Room Nurse moving from NYC to Florida

Hello everyone,

i been working at mount Sinai in Manhattan making 47.50$ an hour and me and my wife want to move to south florida due to better lifestyle and weather.

Can someone tell me how much am i expecting to make with 5 years experience in the Operating Room, whether its a Surgical Center or Hospital.

It depends where in south FL. Pay in the Miami area is higher than in other areas, though cost of living is higher too. Pay is lower on the gulf coast, but so is cost of living. It will definitely be a pay cut, but with no state income taxes here your take home pay shouldn't be too much less. Plus a lower cost of living in general compared to NYC. I'm a former NYer too.
