Does anyone here work for this hospital? What's it like? Has anyone else applied to their GN program? Have you heard anything yet?

Thanks!

She told me that 80 applied--60 ASNs and 20 BSNs. I'm pretty sure they're only considering BSN and they want to fill 15-20 seats, so we have a good shot. The position is still open because she wants more BSNs to apply. Yikesss, I just want to know! Haha

Which hospital is this, that wants more BSN applicants? Please tell me it is not Bayfront, lol.

Yes, that is what Bayfront HR told me.

Yeah, Bayfront :/

*I didn't mean to post this twice but now I can't figure out how to delete it! lol

I just checked their job postings, and the GN/RN Resident position isn't posted anymore. I applied on 2/7, and my status still says in review.

If they truly are only planning to hire only BSNs, then they really should put BSN required in the posting, rather than preferred. It would save them time and hassle, and also spare us ASN nurses from wasting time applying, then obsessively checking our app status on their site.

Did you interview? And the listing is still up, I just looked. I agree with you, they shouldn't put preferred if its not true.

Oops, sorry, I didn't see it. I found it now. No, I haven't received a call for an interview :(

Well if it says under review, they're still considering you. If we didn't get rejection emails yet, that's a good thing! :)

Very true

For those of you who applied and are interviewing with Bayfront, when did you graduate and do you already have your Florida license? I'm graduating in May and I don't know when I should start applying.

Their new grad program will not be open in may, they are hiring 20 now. I think it's twice a year so possibly August

I graduated last August & got my license in September.
