Hi, I am Haley and I am new to the site. I am currently a senior year nursing student in RI. I am soon to be married and have a 3 year old son. Much of my fiances family is planning on moving to Florida w/i the next year and we were considering the same. My only ? is about the pay rate in Fla. I have not been able to find any info. I have many jobs lined up here with a great pay rate but am so sick of N.E. I am expecting to take a pay-cut realizing the cost of living in Fla. in less than N.E. I know hourly pay rates are usually a private issue but I would really like the info and if any one would like to mail me directly at haileer@yahoo.com it would be a great help. Also, are nursing jobs readily available in Fla.? I would like to stay in the ER or possibly oncology if this helps. On a final note, if no one would like to share there pay rate, maybe I could get some Fla. hospital phone # and speak with the facilities directly. Thank you so very much for any help.!

where in florida are you thinking of moving? pay rate, and cost of living varies depending where in florida you are.

i make about $6 more an hour (base pay) than my friend who lives three hours away. my rent, car insurance, and just about everything else costs me more though.
