Florida National College ASN 1 year program

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hello to all,

I'm interested in the ASN program at fnc. I would like to know the opinions from the current students and grads. I contacted the adm. office and this is what they mention to me. The program is regionally accredited (SACS). The program is a 1 year program. Classes are from M-F from 4-10. Clinicals are on weekends. The next start date is May 2011. There is a TEAS test to pass w/t min. passing rate of 75% and there is also a interview. The cost for each credit is $525, so approx it is $24,000 for the 46 credits needed to graduate. The program first started last year 2009 and the first class to take the NCLEX made 100%.

I would like to know from those in the program:

What material can I use to pass the TEAS?

How was the interview and what question do they ask?

How are the classes and clinincals?

For those who are almost done with the program or have already graduated:

Do you feel prepare for the NCLEX?

Everyone interested in the program is welcome to comment!

thank you!!!! I am going to start the sanders the 15 of december, and other book i did not take the ati LIVE NCLEX. you have to take it and pay pay 350 extra. the thing is Iam broke and it was not included ,but some people are taking it. then live review with elionor something... lol, they said is the best becasue the revie is base in other students for exemple: 40 people took the test and send to leonor .... 6 question so they add those questions in the review, so it is king if chetting but not really lol.

and then bebruary 30th Iam gonna take it. I do not want to wait a lot it is not recomemd it.

Omg !!!! Good Luck, :christmastree:Happy Holidays to you all !

Hi Leo, Thanks for your response! I had another question. What's your schedule like for the lecture classes and clinicals? I've called the school and spoken to several people and they tell me that they dont have a schedule and that classes for the nursing program usually start from 7am to 4pm. Is that right?

hey that is not right i depend , sometimes is from 6 to 10 and the clinical are changing almos form 7 am to 7 pm

Hi Nuesemed, you need to read your Student Handbook May 2012, there is a list of book for your RN program.

Thank you for your response but The handbook for may 2012 is not out yet. Would you happen to know whats schedule for the morning classes? Thank you in advance ;)
