i just got offered a position at Florida hospital Orlando a few days ago. I will be starting September 26th. How about you? Thanks for starting this thread by the way

Hey there!

I start October 24th. I took a late start date so I could try to sell my house/buy a house up there. I'm also starting at Orlando. I've started going over the information for the EKG exam.. let me know how it is?

What department are you starting in?

That's great! I'm also relocating from west palm beach. I was accepted into Neuro ICU, and you? I was looking over EKG material online but I'm thinking of getting the EKG made easy. I will definitely let you know how that goes :)

I'll be in gyn oncology in the new women's tower. I'm really looking forward to it. I was surprised at how inexpensive housing was up there compared to further south. Have you found a place yet?

Yes it can be expensive and the traffic is terrible. I am still looking for a place but I do have family here. I want to get something close to the hospital especially since I am new to the area.

I'm buying a house in Davenport. Granted, it'll be a half hour drive without traffic but... the house is lovely and the community has a playground and other things to entertain my child. Plus, being a bit out of the city is much much less expensive. I'm just hoping my Garmin gets me from point A to point B without dropping me in a ditch or something. :)

I will be going to a review class 9/19 and I take the test 9/20. They gave me online courses to take prior to the review class and I have to turn in certificates of completion. I'll definitely let you know how it turns out :) How is the moving coming along?

Good luck! I am sure you're going to do fabulously.

The move is coming.. slowly. So. Many. Boxes. I never realized we owned so much! Hopefully I'll be done in the next couple of weeks. We're shooting for a moving date on the 2nd week in October.

Have you found an apartment yet?

Yes I found an apartment and I'm settling in fairly smoothly :) I successfully passed my ekg test and it went well! As long as you study and pay attention to the review class you will be fine. I also went to my HR processing appointment and got my badge >_
