Florida BON requirements clarifications

Hello everybody,

I am an international nurse, educated from the Philippines. I'm currently applying for the the Florida BON NCLEX-RN and i just need clarifications from you guys who went through my situation or to anyone who is familiar. I have read the detailed instructions for Nurses educated outside USA and i am aware that Filipino nurses do not need to take or pass the english competency examination to be eligible. However, i recently called the Florida BON and told me to either take TOEFL or IELTS. To my understanding I don't need to take it because we use english textbooks and English as medium of teaching. Please help and clarify. Do i need to take either of the English proficiency examination? Thank you and God bless everyone.😍
