Hello everybody,
I am an international nurse, educated from the Philippines. I'm currently applying for the the Florida BON NCLEX-RN and i just need clarifications from you guys who went through my situation or to anyone who is familiar. I have read the detailed instructions for Nurses educated outside USA and i am aware that Filipino nurses do not need to take or pass the english competency examination to be eligible. However, i recently called the Florida BON and told me to either take TOEFL or IELTS. To my understanding I don't need to take it because we use english textbooks and English as medium of teaching. Please help and clarify. Do i need to take either of the English proficiency examination? Thank you and God bless everyone.ðŸ˜

Welllll, if the FL BON says you need to take the exam and they are the ones who control whether or not you get a license, I'm not sure it really matters what any of us think. Best wishes.
Thank you.

Each BON has their own requirements on what is required if trained outside the US. If they require English exam and told you they need English exam then you have to option but to do it as at the end of the day they have the final say.

Its a relief! Thankyou kirstenbon! How about cgfns?
You have to let them evaluate your credentials. Just pay 350 $ and let somebody else in the Pi process your transcripts.
Thanks again and again. Have you started you evaluation? Did you use cgfns too? How long it will take to process our credentials? Are you qualify now to take Nclex? Goodluck! Godspeed! Sorry Kirstenbon for a bunch of questions! Thankyou!
Send me an email [email protected] and il give you my number. Lets talk
