I got my letter to start the nursing program this August 2013! I am excited and very nervous at the same time. I was hoping to communicate with some of my future nursing program classmates. I think it will help me to meet or talk with at least one other student. So if you will be starting this Fall, reply to this posting. Thanks!

Hello again malonejr and tiarat. This is Amanda and I just found out that I have been accepted into the program for this Aug! I had to wait so long because I was an alternate. I started out being number 33 and ended up being number 9 with 10 spots left. I slipped through. It would be nice to keep talking and get to know one another. It sure would be nice knowing a few people on the first day to help calm us. I am happy to be in the program finally but feeling nervous as well.

Congratulations Amanda! Would be great for all 3 of us to start a group! Are you smart? Lol we need at least one SUPER smart person in the group :) im kidding. Let me know if you need any advice from me ( since I was already in FP Nursing program) I will give you the best advice I can going into your first semester. If you can PM me. I am not able to pm you because I am pretty new to this site and have not actively participated enough yet. That is okay though, because you can say anything to me on this thread. Are you smart? LOL You know they say that it doesn't matter what your gpa is in nursing school because the grading can be so subjective. Well as long as you keep a 76% or better... you should let me know your name at least and we can try to form a study group. Same with tiarat... I was at the orientation on April 15th. I got 3 shots today and did my drug test. I have most of my forms scanned and ready to be e mailed tomorrow to the appropriate places. I met another girl named Seelam at the orientation and she seems really nice and funny. I hope to meet up with her too on the first day. I hate walking in and feeling so scared and nervous and like everyone is looking at you. There is so much pressure to make friends when really you should be thinking about not getting your A** kicked with studies!! LOL

My name is Antoine. Im a quiet type guy so im not great at making new friends either, but im glad to get an opportunity to meet you and triat on here and at least start a possible core group. I also work with a tech Todd that will most likely join us possibly.

I have to do a Tdap test then im done! Did you get financial aid yet or go to apply?

When I sign up for classes next week I will go to financial aid and get my classes squared away. I have to send the blue card in to be able to enroll in the nursing classes. I think I have all my shots done so that is good. So we may have a group of 5 already which is great. It will be nice to meet you Antoine.

Didn't mean to message you all the times the same thing! I just left from meeting up with the retention coach at Flo. She helped with the whole immunization tracker, and gave me tips on what to prepare for once the program starts.
