I am a student and about to graduate to be a nurse. I was wondering what it is like to be a nurse in the Air Force and do they treat you pretty good? Also i really want to be a flight nurse so how competitive is it to become a flight nurse in the Air Force? Thanks a bunch:) !!

Here is a link w/ a little more information on flight nurses in the USAF. http://www.brooks.af.mil/web/an/fn-aet_home.htm#DESCRIPTION. I think you usually have to do one assignment before being eligible to be USAF flight nurse on active duty.

i was a flight medic in the navy/marine corps and eventually became a flight nurse in the civilian sector..
as for the air force.. well... go for it!
only officer dining hall that had beer on tap, air force!
we didn't have that in the navy!

i talked to an airforce recruiter this morning, and he told me that females are not allowed to do those kinds of things, if we are thinking of the same thing.:)
