FL liscensure by endorsement- help!!

Hi all, I am planning on relocating to florida (I have raynauds and the cold winters are killing me).. However this whole Liscensure by endorsement is confusing ( I've read the florida website multiple times)-- asking for advise from those who have done it recently.. From what I'm getting-- 1) apply and pay $110 2) somehow get "hard card" for finger prints and then have them transferred to live scan ( but for some odd reason I can't go to a livescan in NJ and have that sent to fl ) 3) get verification from nursys.com 4) do the one CEU required... Is this it? When does the background check come in I am so lost. Thanks in advance!

You have to also take the "Prevention of medical errors" course online. You can find it at the CEBrokers website. The class was like $10 or $15 dollars all online.

My endorsement was from Alabama, and I was able to schedule my livescan finger printing at a location in Alabama and Florida accepted it.

You also have to send verification from your board of nursing. Alabama doesn't participate in Nursys so I had to submit the verification online with the Alabama board of nursing and pay a fee for it to be sent to Florida.

So in short, make sure you have:

1. License verification from your initial board of licensure (Nursys).

2. Fingerprinting

3. Online prevention of medical errors course (make sure it's medical errors and not medicine errors).

4. The online application along with the $110 fee.

I think that's it. That's all I remember anyhow. Lol
