REJECTED!! Womp, Womp...

Definitely a bummer. I really like what the program had to offer. But my fumblings during the interview and I believe my years of ICU experience, 12, (only because they asked me three times) were enough to nix me.

On to the next! Congratulations to everyone. And as someone stated above, there is enough out here for us all. Keep your head up, know your worth and keep pushing. GRIT!

Wish me luck, I have an interview tomorrow. I believe I've learned a lot from this one--It was my first!!

I also got my rejection letter today and like you, I also bummed the interview. It’s a learning experience. Good luck on your upcoming interview.

I see you have 12 years of ICU experience. Do you think that hurt you?

I'm not sure, but the questioning around it, led me to believe that it may have been an issue for them. Or, maybe it was just me and my presentation (with needing to gather myself in the middle of an answer, twice, LOL and smh). I don't know. I have been told that my years of experience is a huge plus, by multiple people in the field, academically and clinically. I am not cocky with it at all and I don't believe I know everything. So, it's hard to say. I'll keep trying... We only need 1 yes...That's it.

Well it was definitely a learning experience. I think moving forward, I will prepare to answer more “ personality” type questions. I was so focused on preparing for clinical questions that I didn’t fully prepare for how I would answer non clinical questions.

Hey guys, just wanted to invite you all to join our FIU SRNA class of 2023 FB group. It will be a great way for us to share resources and support each other specially through the first two semesters online. It feels like it will be a very long time until we will be together on campus and in class but we can stay in touch on FB for now. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Congratulations to everyone that was accepted! I’m a firm believer that there are enough blessings out there for everyone. I was placed on the alternate list and FIU is very great about telling you where you are on the list so I’m in the top 10. Good luck to everyone!

Hi, I was also placed in the alternate list. Did they tell you where you are on the list on the email they sent, or did you asked them?

Specializes in Critical Care.

I got the acceptance email on 6/22, I made the decision to reject the offer due to my commitment to another school. I sent out the decline email 6/23. hopefully, someone on the waiting list gets the spot or already got it. Wish everyone the best luck, and never never stop trying.

Hi guys does anyone know how many people are generally places on the waiting list??

Specializes in ICU.

Hey! I am an alternate, I just don’t know how many there are in total.

Hi guys I'm applying for the 2022 Spring cohort! Wondering what your GRE scores are as I took it back in September and got a 296 ? I really don't want to retake it but will be doing again in early April. Just really nervous about the GRE >___<
