Hello!
I am literally just waiting for my application for reinstatement to go infront of the BON in March and I will be back to doing what I love.... HOWEVER... I am seeing the words POSITIVE CONFIRMED on 3 of my uds. I am prescribed Adderall and have been since August. The BON is aware. I have not been drinking and druggin'. I thought it was just saying positive because I take Adderall? I looked back and the first positive was mid November, the next two are from last week. Again, been on Adderall since August. So now I'm worried after reading all of the different threads. Is anyone prescribed a controlled substance that can tell me if it's routine to say positive even for rx? My monitor never contacted me and I know she would, my creatinine was on the low end of normal and she sure called me and asked me if I was trying to hide something. I hope someone out there can help me! Thanks!
UPDATE: Just incase anyone else has this happen. In the event you are prescribed a controlled substance your test results will say POSITIVE, but as long as you are following the rules and doing what you should be doing you will be just fine! This journey has been a discombobulated & torturous one! Also... I have been humbled and I've learned so much about myself, I'm so happy now!
IT IS WORTH IT! I AM ALMOST BACK TO PRACTICING! There are NO WORDS to express my excitement & gratitude! KEEP GOING, YOU GOT THIS!!

Happy for you.
Why thank you! I'm happy too. I knew I hadn't done anything wrong, but this whole process makes a girl paranoid!

Good luck! Keep us updated. I'm glad you are one step closer to doing what you love.
The board lost my paperwork, I found out the week I was due to get reinstated... Now I'm due to get reinstated in May. Hopefully this is it... I miss being a nurse.
Mine is coming in June. Good luck!

Congrats OP on being done!
To clarify for others, YES Firstlab WILL say positive for anything in your system- they do not have your medical records unless your program also uses their medical review officer services (the MRO is a doctor who goes through positive or dilute results to determine if there is a legit reason) . Mine did not, they had their own medical review officer (you can generally find this info on the chain of custody forms they give you, the ordering MD is usually the MRO). If they do use firstlab as the medical review then I'm not totally sure but I think the results will still show positive it will just be reported to your program as justified.
It is very nerve wracking when you do take a maintenance narcotic since,at least for me. You always have to wonder if it is just positive for that or if you had some freak false f positive. My experience though is your MRO or case mgr will contact you within a week or two of any serious positive result.
SororAKS,
I am curious how things are going for you now that your license is reinstated? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
Thank you for thinking of me. I did get reinstated on Probation. I'm almost done with my monitoring (yay) and am appealing my case to the BON due to some of the conditions of Probation. So moving forward in a lot of ways but still not there yet.
