First year burn out

I have heard several say, just get through the first year of nursing that is the worst and you'll hate nursing for at least a year. I understand that we don't learn everything in school we learn a small fraction so for that year we are probably struggling to get a grasp on things. What do you suggest as far as transitioning from a student to a new nurse? What do you know now that would of changed how you transitioned?
