What # of questions did u pass the NCLEX with? - page 3

HI, I took the NCLEX yesterday and think I failed. The computer stopped at 105 or 106 questions and I felt it was pretty hard. I came home and looked up some of the "easy" questions I remembered and... Read More

I'm still waiting here in NC. They shouldn't torture us like this. There's so many states that you can find out quickly so you would think NC would do the same!!! Please pray for me, i've had migranes for 2 days now from the torture, don't know how much longer I can hang on. Tomorrow will be exactly a week from when I took the test! Don't know if that's a bad sign or not!

Try to get out... and do something...

good luck... i bet you did fine

Thanks for the encouragement but you remember how you felt with the waiting so I know you understand. I'm trying to stay busy, I'm still taking classes at my college that I need to finish my RN that hopefully I can do within the next year but everything really just depends on this LPN license!!!!! I'm trying to keep the faith but it sure isn't helping with this awful headache. And of course I work as a CNA II at the hospital were (if) I get my LPN license I will work, I am scheduled to work tomorrow so I know everyone will ask if I've heard or not and that's not going to help at all!!!!! Thanks again!

I had 75 questions and passed. I friend of mine had 75 questions and failed. You never know until you get the results.

Wanted to let everyone know that I PASSED!!!!! I had already convinced myself that I would have to retake in 91 days since today was day 8 since I took the NCLEX but went to check the mail and there it was. Apparently, my CBC hasn't been completed so my name wasn't coming up in the boards system but it should be finished shortly. But the important thing is that now I'm an LPN!!!!!

    Dear ShelleyBelle,
Were the questions similar that your friend had??? it is sooo weird that they cut her off at 85. usually that is a good sign...

Since she did not pass, how long does she have to wait to take it again?

Does TX have the 2 day thing? so you can find out early? does anyone know?

This computerized test still boggles my mind.... as back in the day when I took boards we spent two full days written paper test... I think it is odd how some can pass with 72 and others getthe opportunity to continue on to 250+ This is such a wide variance. it seems that the test goes on and on until the "right " number is achieved. Gives alot of opportunity to keep on going until you pass. I guess though, there are many who do not pass, and then it would seem that they "triggered" the specific questions wrong that shows unsafe nursing or incompetent practice levels. At Least there are MANY questions to be allowed to answer, Imagine if it were, say a flat 100 questions, and you needed 75 correct, or equivelent to 75%. This would make it straight forward, rather than the pass rate being "what ever number it takes to pass"
Just my opinion..... Good luck to those of you who are taking the boards
