Hi Peaceful...
good to hear back from you. I think you'll be JUST FINE.
And yes, by all means, take yourself a welldeserved break right now.. you and your precious daughter do something really special together and truly ENJOY yourselves ! You both need and deserve it. :kiss
Then come back refreshed, and ready to hit it one more time ! Now you know hwat to expect, how the boards are set up.. the "not knowing what to expect" anxiety will no longer be an issue. This time around you WILL know, and also know what types of questions to expect. So like you said, kick butt !!!
Take them when you feel READY and go get 'em, Girl ! Keep us posted, and when you go again, let us know so I can toss an extra prayer up to the heavens !
Hugs to you ! And hey.. the $13.75 really is not that bad... and remember it won't be forever ! Here's to you !
I totally agree with the above, you need a chance to grieve, to accept what happened, to relax, and to regroup and re-energize. There's going to come a time when you will be an awesome nurse and you will be counseling other new grads who have just gone through what you have gone through. And this will only be a distant memory.

I just took my boards on Monday and today I opened up my mail box and there was the offical results. I was shocked but maybe they just do that for people who fail.
Anyway, I let my employer know today. They were very helpful and gave me words of encouragement and advice. I will be dropped down to a PCT and the pay won't be too bad either. I will be making $13.25 an hour which is a big difference from the $22 I was making as graduate nurse but like the recruiter said it is better than flipping hamburgers at burger king.
I came SOOOO close to passing. There were 3 different levels above passing which is passing of course, near passing and below passing. I was at the near passing level. Close but no cigar though.
Next time I will kick butt. I am going to find out if I can take a vacation even if it means I won't get paid for it. I just need to get away for a while with my daughter. She has paid the price for me going to school for the past 4 and a half years and have seen me under huge amounts of stress and even taken it out on her a few times by yelling. We both could use it.
Well, any way. Good luck to everyone who will be taking boards soon Don't let the horror stories scare you. There are MANY people passing boards.
