OK, I need some advice. I'm taking health assessment and have no idea how to study for this stuff. There is SO much information. This week I have 20 pages of notes and about 100 pages to go over. Professor says everything is fair game for the test. I can't possibly retain all of this information. Do they want us to grasp the main concepts or remember all of these facts (like all of these ways of dealing with the different age groups). Please help!

I think it depends on your instructor. I am in week 2 and have had 3 quizzes so far. She does not just focus on lectures, so we have to review all of it. I still haven't figured out what I can " skim" and what I can't.

Take a deep breath, let it out slow. Start at the beggining of the material and Go. Find subjects/material they spoke at length about. Concentrate on subjects they were repetitive with. The first few sentences of each paragraph in the reading material contain the main points of that material, highlight, rewrite it, memorize it. What type of learner are you ? Visual learners benefit from flashcards, at least I did.
And remember they can kill you, but they can't eat you. That would be illegal AND immoral.:chuckle
