First Time CA License Renewal

Hi! I'm an RN in CA and preparing to renew my license. Where do I start? How do I submit CEUs to BON? What's the best way to renew? Thanks!

The BON will send you a renewal in the mail about 6 weeks prior to the due date. You simply write your check and write in your CEU's on the form and mail it away.

You receive your new license in a couple of weeks.

I'm not sure if you can do it electronically online.

If this is your first renewal, CEU's are not needed. Check the Calif. BRN web page to be certain that this wasn't changed. You can pay via credit card online. It's simple. Just be sure to do it early and not wait til the last minute.

UCDSICURN is right! CE's are not needed on the first renewal.
