Nursing Students General Students

Hello fellow nursing students...school starts n two weeks and I'm new to this. I'm excited but sooo scared. The stories of the ppl who start and don't finish are terrifying. I'm trying to remain positive because I know doubt will only increase my chances of failure. Please nursing students I need some positive words after all the negative things I've heard!

Congratulations on starting nursing soon! I will be done in May 2012 (so excited!). My only advice is to work hard. Get a study group together, I find it better because you can push each other to study, and especially if you don't know anyone else in nursing because sometimes only nursing students only understand each other. If you can complete things ahead of schedule do so, this cuts down on things you need to do. Also for exams complete practice questions at the end of the chapters and in NCLEX practice question books. I found the all the nursing success books such as the Med-Surg success book (http://www.amazon.com/Med-Surg-Success-Applying-Critical-Thinking/dp/0803625049/ref=pd_sim_b_4) helped me because it just gives you sample questions based on topics and it gives you a rationale for each answer.

Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!!
