I'm going to start putting together my resume over vacation for my first nursing job. Although I won't graduate until May, the hospital I want to work for begins interviewing in February.
Here's my question:
Although this will be my first nursing job, I have a degree in engineering and had a 10 year career before staying home to have babies. How much of my job history in engineering should I include on my nursing resume? While there are aspects of my previous career (critical thinking, etc.) that will make me a good nurse, I don't want to overwhelm my resume with 10 years of details!
Thank you,
Beth

I would list your previous job, and it's most relevant job skills, limited to about 5.
eg. 1993-2003 Software Design Engineer, ABC Engineering, Somewhere USA
- skill one
- skill two
