a sturgeon lake first nation think tank is figuring out how to take care of its own people if a pandemic hits.

willie ermine, member of a pandemic committee established on the first nation, said the plan is to work from the ground level up if disaster strikes, focusing on individual homes.

part of the plan is to use traditional medicines when doctor-prescribed pills run out, using traditional knowledge from within the reserve.
