So I'm pretty sure I've got the job (second interview is Friday!) The only thing that worries me about it is I will be required mandatory overtime every other week. One week will be three 13 hour shifts (6:30p - 7:30a) and the next week it will be four shifts. Also, every other week will be weekends (not sure whether this will be on the OT week or normal week.)
This will be my first RN job since graduating. Its at an inpatient mental health hospital.
Do you think this is something a new grad could handle? (The hours, not the weekends. I'm cool with working weekends). I used to work about 50 hours a week at my fast food job before going to nursing school...but it was voluntary, not required....
Advice appreciated! :)

As long as it's paid overtime (check with your state division of Hours and Wages about that) and you are young and strong, I'd say go for it and bank the extra money. Wish I'd done that back when Florence and I got out of the Crimea...
