Hi, I am in my first year, actually first month of nursing school and we have a test coming up next week. It is our first one in Nursing Fundamentals so I have no idea what things to focus on. I'm pretty sure they will be NCLEX type questions but I'm not sure what content I should focus on. Our reading consisted of the Nursing Process, Spirituality, Culture, Sensory Perception, Health Assessment and Vital Signs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Hey! I am in week 6 also. I studied and studied, learned all the terms in the first chapter and got a 75% which is a D where I go. Like Diva0082 said the questions will probaly be in NCLEX type and they want the best answer. I prefer tests that read: "The definition of this is:" I remember one on Infection Control. "You enter a patients room to take perform a physical assesment, the patient has the volume of his radio up real high. The first thing you should do is: A. Turn the radio down, wash your hands and proceed B. Wash your hands FIRST before you touch anything! I don't remember what the other 2 options were. But I figured since the chapter was over infection control and we are suppose to wash our hands when we entered a room. I found it helps to read your skills steps (action and rational). The NCLEX type question will help you in the long run, it gets you critical thinking going.
