Hello all!
Ive recently decided to pursue my BSN instead of ADN and I'm only 3 courses (A&P 2, Microbiology, and Elementary Stat) away from being able to enter a program. I'm currently taking A&P 1 now and I'm doing excellent so far. I would take my other prerequisites at my current school, but they don't have campus housing and I can't afford to drive an hour back and forth everyday. Plus they don't offer all those courses in the upcoming fall semester. After doing some research I've found that Darton actually offers these courses online, but I really don't want to stay home for the semester. And since they don't have a BSN program I'd have to move out of their dorm especially if I apply for a spring program. Middle Georgia college also offers these courses, but I don't really see many good reviews on the professors. But they do offer a spring program and that's why I'd love to apply to them. That way if I stay on campus I'll already be there if I get accepted to their spring nursing program. Another option is Georgia southwestern state university. They have a summer program entrance but I would only want to go there for nursing and not to take any prerequisites. So I guess my question is should I take all 3 online courses at home or on campus?

Hi there, I guess I am in the same dilemma you are in. I am enrolled at Darton for Fall 2014 to finish taking cores for the RN program. I have applied for the Spring 2015 RN program at Darton. Though, I also have decided to do the BSN instead of ADN. In December I will have all the cores required for ADN; however, I will still need some cores for the BSN. I am trying to decide if I want to go to GA Southwestern or Darton for my BSN. I understood Darton does have a BSN program and its all online. GSW does have a better pass rate w/ the NCLEX-RN than Darton. As for your cores, I am choosing to do as many as I can online. This will be my first time @ Darton, so I do hope their online classes are as easy as the last college I attended.
