Everything but the TEAS exam...
So I've completed all of my BSN prerequisites and I just cannot score high enough on the TEAS exam to save my life. I've bought and studied the manuals, but I keep making low scores. I've heard of other exams that can be taken for other schools, but I am just so blown after taking that exam for the third try. I'm considering the ADN track since my scores will be accepted, but I was so focused on getting into a BSN. Do you think I should keep trying, try another exam like the HESI, or just try to start a ADN/ASN?

Online vs. In class?
Hi HouTx, I started out at a four year university, but I couldn't pass the a&p course there and they only have one professor to teach it so I thought it'd be wise to take that course and my 2 other prerequisite courses at a 2 year school back at home for the fall instead of at my same school. I saw that they offered all my needed prerequisite courses online and my mom thought it'd be smart to just stay home for the fall semester and move back on a campus for the spring when I was ready to apply for a spring nursing program. I simply didn't want to stay home for the fall, but I didn't think to check to see of those online courses would transfer back. So thank you for bringing that to my attention. I will check and I will also look for a back up plan and see who offers those courses on a campus.

Online vs. In class?
Ive recently decided to pursue my BSN instead of ADN and I'm only 3 courses (A&P 2, Microbiology, and Elementary Stat) away from being able to enter a program. After doing some research I've found a school that actually offers these courses online, but I really don't want to stay home for the fall semester. And since they don't have a BSN program I'd have to move out of their dorm especially if I apply for a spring nursing program elsewhere. So I guess my question is should I take all these 3 online courses at home or on campus?

Finishing Pre-Reqs at Darton State College or Middle Georgia State College or online?
Hello all! Ive recently decided to pursue my BSN instead of ADN and I'm only 3 courses (A&P 2, Microbiology, and Elementary Stat) away from being able to enter a program. I'm currently taking A&P 1 now and I'm doing excellent so far. I would take my other prerequisites at my current school, but they don't have campus housing and I can't afford to drive an hour back and forth everyday. Plus they don't offer all those courses in the upcoming fall semester. After doing some research I've found that Darton actually offers these courses online, but I really don't want to stay home for the semester. And since they don't have a BSN program I'd have to move out of their dorm especially if I apply for a spring program. Middle Georgia college also offers these courses, but I don't really see many good reviews on the professors. But they do offer a spring program and that's why I'd love to apply to them. That way if I stay on campus I'll already be there if I get accepted to their spring nursing program. Another option is Georgia southwestern state university. They have a summer program entrance but I would only want to go there for nursing and not to take any prerequisites. So I guess my question is should I take all 3 online courses at home or on campus?

BSN or ASN? Decisions, Decisions..
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to read my first post. I'm currently a pre-nursing student and I'm seeking to enter a nursing program rather soon than later. I only have a&p2, microbiology, & stat to take and then I'll have all my core completed. My question is should I apply for an associate program since those three courses aren't required to enter in? Or should I take those three classes for the fall and then shoot for a spring or summer bsn program? I've been in school for four years now and I guess I am a bit on the desperate side.. But who can blame me? I really want this. And the funny but not so funny side note is that I actually was accepted into a bsn program but couldn't start due to financial reasons that prevented me from taking those classes. That was last summer (2013) and now I'm financially ready, but I don't know if I should consider other options or not although I feel as though I'm too close to go any other route. P.S. Sorry so lengthy
