Finished Probation

Hey guys! I haven’t updated in forever- but just wanted to update that I finished probation Feb 2019! Nearly 5 years of it- was so happy to be done - very thankful I didn’t give up, thankful for my support system, my faith, and keeping focused. The minute I was done, I booked a flight to celebrate to Fiji! Lol

Just wanted to share with others who may be lost or discouraged right now- don’t give up, keep going. You too, will finish!

If I can make it, so can you! If you don’t know my story- I suggest you read the thread lol.

Yay! In know you’re happy! I start monitoring soon.

I finally received my board order via email and it’s a lot more to it than what the lady told me over the phone ! When she told me that My board order stated

1) A penalty fee of $500

2) , 2 approved addiction courses

I specifically asked about probation and monitoring and she said there was nothing on there . I guess that really got my hopes up because when I receive my order I was expecting a short summary of those two things . I am feeling very over whelmed to know that I am on probation for two years and will have to be in t he monitoring program. I’m clean so monitoring really shouldn’t be a problem I guess I’m just scared of false positives .

I am thankful that I get to work with no restrictions and have an active license so I really should be concentrating on that part but it’s just the monitoring and the meetings and all of that has got m e really overwhelmed. I have to be evaluated by a board approved addictionologist or treatment center So I’m really hoping my clean time will have a good effect on my outcome. ! I’ve been in recovery 3 1/2 yrs.

Hey DaisyRN2003, is there any possible way I could message or email you in regards to your situation? I am currently on probation and have tested positive, I’m so lost on what to do. Do they immediately take away your license? I was fired so I can’t work anyways. But I didn’t know if the board waited until the next board meeting to give me my order or they punished you immediately.
