does anyone know if they will accept a tax return transcript from the irs instead of the actual tax return? the reason i ask is because we efiles and saved our taxes to go back and print them later and our computer crashed before we could print them out so we don't have access to the actual tax return.
also do they take into consideration any changes in income you have after the 2006 tax return
for instance i was collecting unemployment in 2006 but am no longer collecting it and am still unemployed so we are living on just my husbands income currently

You're best bet would be to go speak to a financial aid advisor...They would be able to answer all of your questions, good luck

Hi us4halls,
My hubby and I also efile our taxes, so that isn't a problem. You don't actually send in any forms, they can check them without any of your forms.
Also, I don't think they take income changes into consideration, as they go strictly by your tax return from the last year, they do ask about employment though. I had changed employment status back in 06, and even though I had quit working, it didn't make much of a difference.
Hope this helps some. Good luck~
