Hi Everyone,
I graduated from my nursing program 8 years ago. I took time off to have kids and help my husband set up his business. I started to study for NCLEX back in Jan. 2014 my first attempt I failed in June with 75q my second attempt i did horse repeatedly and also kaplan i failed in October with 265q. For my third attempt i did kaplan content review, davis book, lippicott sata book and i passed with 223q.
It has not been easy so many times I wanted to give up and do something else with my life but I kept on and today is one of the happiest days of my life I saw my name and license number on the state board of nurses. I am over the moon and have already submitted two applications to start my masters program ASAP.
If you are reading my story don't give up please you can do it even if you have two young children like myself consistently disturbing you while your trying to study, you can still do it. Keep going and you will eventually make it.Take Care and all the best.

Congratulations! Gotta ask ya.. What State did you take nclex for? I am CDN and going for nclex in few months. @ present, I am on provisional license and working on medical unit.
I did a state that Im not gonna work in and that was a mistake because now Im endorsing over to the state I want to work and do my clinical placement and its super expensive. My advice is not to look for the easiest state but to seek licensure with the state you want to live and work in, its gonna save you a lot of time, money and future headache.

Congrats on passing! What a great feeling that must be!!! I was about to ask how you would apply for job and market yourself with a 8 year gap between nursing school and NCLEX. Looks like you got that covered with the masters program. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors. :)
