I just did one chapter a day and focused on not overwhelming myself with reading entire books. It was a category from the flashcards per day followed by nclec practice questions. So if I was doing respiratory chapter, then I'd answer only respiratory questions that day. Then I really dived into mastering alternate-format questions! Good luck!!!!

I just wanted to say thank you for all the support from this website. Reading all the tips and advice has helped me out a lot. One tip can go a long way. Now I just want to pay it forward by giving my tips and study materials as well!
I failed 5 times. I have a short attention span and I also have a family on top of working two part time jobs. I knew it wasn't because I wasn't smart. I just couldn't juggle everything all at once. I've tried Kapan, Saunders, etc. but it was so much to take in....so I just kept looking for something that would work for my schedule and help me remember everything.
I used UWorld (UWorld - #1 Test Prep for USMLE, ABIM, ABFM, NCLEX, SAT, ACT & MCAT) and the qd nurses flashcards (Build your confidence and raise your score with the NCLEX Prep Bundle.) ebook to pass. That's pretty much it. I just wanted something to read and then practice questions. I really loved that I didn't feel overwhelmed as I just went through the flashcards.
If there's something I also used from my previous attempts, it'd be the alternate format questions from lippincott that you can get on Amazon. That's the only physical book I kept on me. I can't sit there through another video lecture with my kid running around. I told myself I couldn't fail for the 6th time.
I just want to share my materials with everyone and hope that the repeat-takers do not give up. If I could do it with my crazy life, I know that you guys can too. I hope that this has reached out to one person to keep going.
