Just wanted to update everyone on my last month of the application process. Well, I had my MEPS physical on Dec. 16. I was actually very surprised that it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I guess it was pretty laid back and quick because it was Friday and there was only a handful of us there. I was the only female Officer candidate there and out by about 10:30am. Things went smoothly and I didn't need any additional waivers or work-ups.
I thought the CNO interview was never going to come. I really wanted to have everything done before the New Year. MY INTERVIEW WAS TODAY! It went pretty well (at least I think it did). It started off pretty rough but ended on a nice note. It was laid back, very informative, and helpful. The Lt Col was so nice and sweet. Not intimidating at all. It lasted for a good amount of time, but I received so much from her.
Well, to cut this short...the board meets on Jan 3rd and the estimated decision release date is Feb 24th. So now the wait begins.
Just spoke with my recruiter and our (health professions) list is projected for the 28th. The line officer OTS has been released so don't do what I just did and look on the wrong list. My recruiter is probably convinced that I am a nut case, lol.
There is a OTS list that was released yesterday and logically I figured I was the list. When I called my recruiter, to verify, he had no clue what I was talking about. After stammering and stuttering, while putting it together, he realized that it was the line officer OTS list was what I was referring to. It would stand for reason that the week ends this way. It has been a week of frustration as I was told that my application was held while I get my previous military records to them, which was hell by it's self, when I got the records they were incomplete and nothing that the board could use. Only to find out today that nothing is being held and it would have been nice to have them. Anyhow, I got a taste of how much I really want this.
sorry to keep making so many separate posts. how did you look up that list? is there something that me and ATLRN0828 should be looking for? just curious.
