With tears in my ðŸ˜¢eyes, I'm typing this so excuse any typos. I just got "the call" that I've been waiting for, for two years, that I've been accepted!!! If no other school accepts me I'll be starting L.A.C.C. for the Spring 2016 semester.

I've lurked around here every semester reading everyone's acceptance posts about their elated joy and wondered if I'd ever get to experience that. Of course, I was happy for those, especially the familiar names. I know the hard work and dedication it takes. I can't believe it finally happenedto meee! I saw the caller ID, but I'm at work and didn't want to get the bad news. I prayed like never before. I expected the usual. But, I could not help it, I stepped away and listened intently...I had to replay the message 3x and even call the school just to make sure there wasn't a mistake!

Here's a little my back story:

I completed the RN pre-reqs over 2 years ago. I had friends apply, get accepted and graduate from our c.c. and move onto these RN programs. My STEM counselor highly suggested that I be patient and continue with the bachelor's pre-reqs. But since I work 50+ hours as an LVN home care nurse, that meant 2 more years for me to complete the 7 classes needed. My antsy pants had to apply to the nearby nursing schools. 3 semesters went by and NO LUCK! But it was ok, I was chipping away at those other classes. I graduated ðŸŽ“with honors in June with an associates in health sciences and liberal arts and it felt sooo good!

So for the next semester, I expanded my radius of schools and applied farther away. It's been a long, tough road, rounding up all my transcripts, filling out those tedious forms that each school requests, and waiting....being rejected, wait listed, and finally accepted.

I'm so happy ðŸ˜†ðŸ˜†ðŸ˜†that my journey NOW continues....
