Hi All! I'm new here. I am in Australia with a bridging visa A(allows me to work and/or study here). I am currently in Melbourne.
I am a private duty nurse in the Philippines for almost 2 years before I arrived in Melbourne. I am looking for any job related to nursing but can't seem to find any. I'm planning to get an Aged Care course then work my way up to Nursing, if possible, cause the bridging program for nurses here is expensive. So what do you guys think or what can you suggest?
Thank you.

What are you doing in Australia on a bridging visa A if not a refugee? it also does not give working rights!
You can do an aged care course if you legally have the right to be a student, but you will not have the right to work afterwards as a aged care worker is not on the SOL list and no employer is supposed to sponsor unless on the skills required list.
Bridging visa's are not for study or work purposes. They are for those who are waiting for other types of visa's, to keep people legal.
I'm here on a fiance visa originally. As I applied for my partner visa, they granted me a bridging visa A and explained that the conditions of fiance visa still applies to it that is: work and study is okay. I don't also get any benefits from the government but for Medicare.
Anyway, as no employer seems to be interested, I am planning to take the Aged care certificate and try to work my way up to nursing if it's possible.
