Published

actually im planning to go to new zeland this feb, but now im confuse if i can work there as a nurse after graduating level 7 diploma there for 1 year and train for 6weeks since i only have 3months of working experience as school nurse in the philippines. anyone here can tell me what are the steps to work as paramedic in new zealand? because i found out that there salary are in same range.

Does New Zealand need paramedics? Countries only invite people to stay if that skill is in short supply with the locals.

I know for sure you will need to pass an english test of some high standard.

needed or not, they will still needs paramedics in the future, so i think its better to be on top before necessity comes. :) anyone here know if what are the requirements to become a paramedic in new zealand? how many years do i need to study? or training shall do?

If they need paramedics in the future, it may just be that they will have trained their own and do not need from an overseas country. This does happen, and even if you are educated in a country, if they do not need that profession, you will not be able to stay.

Paramedics are trained as in Australia with a 3 year (no other unneeded, only paramedic subjects,Bachelor degree.... you need, Bachelor degree in emergency med/paramedics these days. You may be able to get a graduate 2 year bachelor degree. ACU in Australia offers this, which no doubt would be recognised in NZ.

Seems they require you to be a volunteer for awhile and then you need to be when applying a New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident, before you can apply.

I have answered this, as I doubt anybody from New Zealand will answer your question as not many kiwis hang here.

oh that so sad for me to hear. now i know it would take long time for me to become paramedics in new zealand.. now i think i should continue nursing.. thanks ceridwyn.
